About Your New Job

• VAT Compliance: Supervise the preparation, submission, and payment of VAT returns, ensuring adherence to local regulations.
• VAT Planning: Formulate and implement strategies to optimize tax efficiency and minimize liabilities.
• Tax Audits: Oversee VAT audits, address queries from tax authorities, and ensure compliance.
• Process Improvement: Continuously enhance VAT processes and procedures for streamlined operations.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate VAT risks through proactive monitoring and controls.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and global network firms on VAT-related issues.
• Training and Education: Provide VAT training and guidance to internal teams.
• External Relationships: Engage with external advisors and tax authorities to stay updated on VAT regulations.
• Reporting: Prepare and present VAT compliance reports to the board of directors.

What Skills You Need

• Qualifications: AITI or Tax Technician.
• Experience: Ideally at least 5 years of experience in VAT.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Irish VAT and tax legislation.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
• Initiative: Self-motivated with the ability to drive improvements.
• Time Management: Capable of prioritizing and managing time effectively.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in work.
