Payroll Specialist

Part of an exciting global operation the individual has the opportunity to develop their payroll

skills in an environment dedicated to excellence. We currently pay 1700 associates across

4 entities including weekly, biweekly and monthly payrolls

Duties / Responsibilities

? Reporting to the Ireland payroll manager.

? Processing payroll across four Ireland domestic payroll entities comprising monthly,

weekly and biweekly payrolls.

? Completing end to end Payrolls through to banking of payments with maximum

accuracy and within specified deadlines.

? Responsible for dealing with and resolving internal and external payroll queries and

discrepancies in timely manner

? Use of Quest and Service now ticketing systems

? Complete monthly and yearly statutory returns for each entity

? Liaise with HR Department and HR Operations regarding new starters, leavers, pay

changes, etc.,

? Completion of all Monthly Payroll Reports, payroll journals, and other ad hoc reports

and budgeting support required to support the HR, Finance, or business


? Processing payroll in compliance with NFCM controls and other internal audit


? Updating process maps and sops as required

? Updating processes and controls as required.

? Liaise with payroll software providers on interface files

? Uploading interface files from HR Operations based in UK and Prague

? Uploading interface files from vendors such as VHI Laya and Pension companies

? Uploading ROS P2C files and creating P45s P30s and P35 returns

? Processing of BIKs , shadow payroll tax treatment for International Assignees,

Shares treatments, taxation of illness benefit, processing of LPT, salary sacrifice,

and other schemes through payroll

? Calculation of taxation using specialist knowledge and training both on the job and

from research and keeping knowledge up to date

? Supporting the continuous improvement and streamlining of processes

? Keeping up to date with knowledge and skills

? Working as part of an interdependent and supportive team focused on compliance

for the company and delivering high level of expertise and professionalism to the


? Supporting the payroll manager in day to day activities, projects, payroll process

improvements, administration

? All other payroll processing and administration duties required


IPASS Certified Payroll Technician Desirable


? Experience in using payroll systems with CorePay an advantage.

? Excellent Microsoft Excel skills including use of VLOOKUP

? Excellent knowledge of statutory legislation in relation to payroll

? Results driven and deadline focused with proven accuracy and attention to detail

? Have proven experience in running payroll, filing returns and dealing with employee


? Must be able to handle high volume workload and be comfortable with managing

and prioritising workload and conflicting demands from stakeholders

? Be supportive to team colleagues

? Have the ability to work independently and enjoy taking responsibility for own work

as well as team results

? Be resilient and flexible in approach to work and be comfortable in an evolving

environment where change is embraced positively

? Enjoy working collaboratively within the payroll team and with external stakeholders

and customers
