Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities in AP include:

  • Monitoring of the AP Mailboxes on a daily basis.
  • Review, validate and process a high volume of supplier invoices in a timely manner.
  • Identify and resolve any issues with supplier invoices i.e. PO queries, approval etc.
  • Liaise with the accounting team where necessary to obtain accurate coding details for non-product invoices.
  • Support issue resolution in relation to vendor payments and send requests for credit notes.
  • Follow through on all internal and external AP queries from start to resolution. Promptly research and resolve all AP payment inquiries/discrepancies; identifying patterns and ways to reduce/efficiently handle frequently asked questions.
  • Preparation of Vendor account reconciliations and resolve any differences.
  • Support intercompany reconciliation.
  • Assist in maintaining AP vendor master data.
  • Processing Payment runs.
  • Investigate and resolving rejected payments.
  • Support month end close activities.
  • Participate in AP process improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in the maintenance/development of AP processes, policies, etc.
  • Validate that internal controls are implemented and operational.
Some project work, within the area of competence may also be included in this role.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Min 2-3 years relevant work experience with specific experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in a large global company.
  • Training experience is an asset.
  • Min 2 years relevant professional education (e.g. College diploma).
