Planner/Buyer - County Wicklow.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the production plant while ensuring the satisfaction of all customer demands.

Duties will include:
• Create production plans and detailed schedules per established timelines to support efficient operation of the production facility and customer requirements, maintaining a balance between business unit demands
• Identify and resolve potential planning problems
• Order all raw materials in a timely manner to meet production schedules
• Liaise with Procurement/ Sourcing and Quality Assurance to be the point of contact on all plant queries and supplier approval documentation.
• Liaise with internal customers to ensure effective and efficient planning
• Attend internal weekly meetings as required
• Ensure smooth transfer of new products and processes into the production plant
• Maintain a level of service and communication that is fully satisfactory to internal and external customers
• Improve operations, without sacrifice to quality or service, by implementing energy savings, process enhancements and labour-saving system efficiencies, while reducing errors, discards, wastage and inventory costs
• Close out corrective actions within agreed time scales. Support appropriate action plans to prevent a recurrence of the failure and actively report and investigate incidents
• Participate in audit process, as required
• Generate reports, as required
• Operate in accordance with appropriate regulatory guidelines
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned including support to shipping administrators and/or the Purchasing and Planning Manager where necessary
• Update Supply Chain procedures when necessary
• Participate in cross-cluster projects
• Actively participate in all OPEX initiatives

Interested applicants should have:

• Ideally (not essentially) a Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, supply chain, business administration, or related field
• Planning or forecasting certification is beneficial
• Ability to work cross-functionally
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills across different modes and styles
• Process improvement leadership is beneficial

Minimum 2-3 years’ experience.
SAP knowledge and experience would be beneficial.
