Assistant Store Manager - Carlow

Our client, a well-known department store chain is seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager for their store in Carlow.

Known for their Men's, Ladies and Children Fashion and Cosmetics offering coupled with their 5* customer service, this is the perfect opportunity for an energetic, passionate and driven Retail Manager with strong fashion commercial experience.

This is a 10-12 month maternity contract (Although future opportunities maybe available within the company and area)

This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Retail Store Manager, Assistant Manager or Senior Department Manager to join a long-standing retail chain.

Key Responsibilities for the job of Assistant Manager

  • Maximise the profitability of your store through meeting targets for sales and controlling costs
  • Achieve the highest levels of customer experience ensuring the ultimate customer shopping journey
  • Deliver the retail plan with your team through excellent product knowledge and service
  • Inspire and develop your team to achieve all personal and professional goals
  • Manage and analyse Departmental sales performance, implementing plan of action where required
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships within your store, with head office personnel and external business partners
  • Liaise closely with your Fashion and home brand managers on best sellers, space allocation and product availability
  • Ensure excellent Visual Merchandising standards is delivered and in accordance to company plan
  • Ensure the implementation of all company policies and procedures in-store
  • Ensure the safety, health and welfare of all those
  • Champion the company's Vision, Mission and Values
  • Empower your team through responsibility, accountability and success recognition
Experience required for this job opportunity include the following

  • 3-4 years Retail Management experience within a high-volume retail fashion business
  • Experience in leading and motivating a team of 20
  • A proven track record in achieving set and agreed KPI's
  • Commercial and operational management experience essential
  • An Inspirational leader with energy, enthusiasm and a positive and "can do" outlook
  • Turnover experience of €6m

  • €40-42k pro rata DOE
