The TII Architecture department provides a comprehensive conceptual and technical design service for all public transport projects within TII. This includes the design, at all project stages, of buildings, public realm, street furniture, and landscape. It also provides advice and support to other departments within TII, including roads and greenways, on architectural, public realm, and landscape built and natural environment, planning, design and compliance matters. The Architecture department also develops design and procurement briefs for external consultants, and provides guidance, document review and general support where design services are procured externally. The Architecture department is committed to the highest quality design and principles of sustainability in all of its work.

Environmental Scientist / Engineer

The Environmental Policy and Compliance (EP&C) Section provides technical, legal, and policy support on environmental matters to all TII departments, as well as to National Roads Offices, Project Offices, and Local Authorities. Its areas of responsibility include sustainability, climate change and carbon assessment, biodiversity (including ecology, ecological survey methods, landscape planning and maintenance, and invasive alien plant species), waste and the circular economy, air quality, noise and vibration, soils and geology, water resources, and drainage, among others.

Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) is responsible for managing and improving the country’s national road and light rail networks plus MetroLink, with an annual budget in the order of €1 billion.

Senior Track Engineer

The position will involve undertaking and leading track design within the public transport capital programme engineering design section, with responsibility for alignment design and track engineering, design management and coordination, as well as overall design approval of track elements for light rail and related projects.

Senior Archaeologist

The Archaeology and Heritage section’s primary objective is to minimise the archaeological and heritage impacts associated with TII’s projects and programmes. The section manages archaeological and heritage risk, ensures legislative compliance, and builds public trust, working in close collaboration with TII and local authority partners. The section is currently managing over 250 schemes across national road, greenways and public transport projects.
