Cost Accountant with 2-3yrs experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment required to contribute to the strategic decision making process for the Company. The successful candidate will work closely with all functions of the business, both financial and non-financial.

Acting as the main link between Finance and Production, you will be responsible for the analysis of business costs and operational performance, with the intention of improving performance, identifying key drivers, current weaknesses and standardising production reporting between all of our plants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of KPI's and weekly/monthly business reports;
  • Product and process costing;
  • Inventory Management;
  • Budgeting;
  • R&D reporting for grant and tax purposes;
  • Internal Audits.
Requirements:

    • A minimum of 2-3 years experience in a related role within a manufacturing environment is essential;
    • Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, variance analysis with strong cost accounting experience;
    • Excellent organisational, numerical, analytical, time management and communication skills;
    • Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA or ACCA);
    • High degree of computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office packages;
    • Must be flexible with regard to travel, particularly to other plants within the Group .
