As part of the Vision Systems Engineering group, you will be part of a high performance team developing software and firmware for our award-winning smart cameras, which play a key role in the manufacture of goods including semiconductors, medical devices, cell phones, pharmaceuticals, and automobile parts. The Role:
As a Software Engineering Intern you will be working with a close-nit group of approximately 12 software, and QA engineers in the office located at the heart of Budapest. Your responsibilitieswill include assisting the Software Development team in a time-critical environment, solving important customer related issues, and assisting in developing a more sophisticated build and unit test environment for the software engineering team. You will play a critical role in getting Comapny products to market in a more timely fashion with higher quality.
Essential Functions:
- Participates in the code, test and maintenance phases of software product development
Ensures work-product is of high quality through best practices like comprehensive code documentation and the use of automated code analysis tools
Develops / executes unit, system & functional tests and frameworks.
Maintains & enhances familiarity with lighting / optics principles necessary to simulate a production line environment or create an application test-bench to validate machine vision algorithms or customer application requirements
1. Experience developing software in C#
2. Experience developing software in C or C++ is a huge plus
3. Familiarity with theNUnitunit testing framework is a huge plus
4. Familiarity with software version control concepts (GIT, SVN, ClearCase, etc.)
5. Familiarity with iterative software development processes
6. Familiarity with network protocols, embedded systems programming, and RTOS concepts a big plus
7. Machine Vision/Image processing algorithm experience a big plus.
8. Highly motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
Minimum education and work experience required:
- Current student working on degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Programming or other related area of study (recent graduates also considered).
