Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective administration of the company’s warehouse management system to ensure high levels of stock accuracy.
Main Responsibilities:
The scope of the role is from product receipt to despatch.
- Responsible for the administration of transactions on the warehouse management system
- Problem solving any stock issues and helping manage workload through the system
- Issue picking instructions as required and resolve or escalate queries in connection with stock or the management system
- Assist new staff to follow the required procedures and identify where retraining is required
- Responsible for monitoring transactions to ensure the established ways of working in connection with the management system are followed
- 2 years in an administrative role of a large logistics or warehousing operation, or proven operator knowledge of warehousing
- Previous experience using a warehouse management system/ data management system such as AS400
- Knowledge of problem solving tools and techniques
- Resilient personality, capable of working effectively under pressure
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and practices
- Appreciation of customer requirements e.g. order despatch times
