TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT – NETWORK IP – MOBILE TELECOMS

This role has been created to form part a Strategy & Consulting team and will be responsible for the formulation of a strategic funded strategy for the entire IP domain in line with the overall business strategy. You will act as the overall design authority for the domain and will assume reponsibility for the architecture of solutions supporting and driving growth in the ICT part of the business. The role will also focus on the evolution of IP across the telecommunications infrastructure driving both cost efficiencies and new capability.

To be considered for interview, your skills and competencies should include:

  • Comprehensive and demonstratable experience in architecture & design of the following: - Carrier Routing, MPLS, Load Balancing, Firewalls, VPN's, Unified Communications, Data Centre network infrastructure
  • Knowledge of IPv6 strategy and design desirable
  • Experience in telecommunications organisations highly desirable, especially mobile
  • Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships at all levels within the business
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, with the ability to articulate complex technologies in terms of business capability
  • Excellent business skills, with an ability to analyse and model business scenarios and business processes. Competent in producing a business case and measuring business benefits.
  • Experience in both budget forecasting and budget management highly desirable
  • Experience of vendor management from a technical and relationship perspective highly desirable
