We are currently recruiting a Planner/Buyer in a temporary role based in Cork.


Job Description:

This is a key role responsible for the planning and procurement of assigned products, while supporting the S&OP process, Customer Service levels and inventory targets. This covers procurement of product from either inter-company or external suppliers as based on products assigned.


Responsibilities:

· Ensure the timely placement of PO’s in support of automatic daily replenishment, planned kit requirements and supplemental order processes.

· Long term planning and inventory management by managing supply requirements against forecast and minimising residual inventory in line with agreed GSC targets and objectives.

· Plan for required types and volume of instruments & implants to assemble required kits.

· Generate orders for required components to be delivered to "Kitting" location in line with supplying customer requirements.

· Monitor and adjust requirement plans to demand changes.

· Inventory management in line with agreed GSC targets and processes – taking actions to minimize excess inventory.

· Support and manage inventory repatriation.

· Communicate on critical supply issues, and provide progress updates on resolution dates to local customer services.

· Expedite past PO’s, maintain PO dates and resolve PO discrepancies.

· Manage interface with supplying divisions to expedite customer escalations and past due orders.

· Work with EDO data maintenance team to ensure correct new product set-up and product data settings are maintained and updated within Business Planning System Team, including, but not limited to Item Master, DRP/MRP and ICP’s.

· Manage obsolete item process.

· Set and regularly review inventory and ROP levels.

· Co-ordinate supply plans for delivery of new products.

· Approve in-market returns.

· Manage repatriation of product to regional hub.

· Work with warehouse to manage stock queries.

· Support engineering change orders and manage tactical planning changes arising from these.

· Support Team and Individual objectives by working together and with other departments, including, but not limited to, Demand Team, IM, Distribution, and Customer Service.

· Contribute towards continuous improvement activities.

· Produce, maintain and support improvement to appropriate KPI’s.

· Support other team members and management with day-to-day activities, by providing cover, sharing relevant information, supporting team training needs and any actions assigned.

· Replenishment of Brainlab kits.

· Management of Backordered Sales in line with Objectives

· Inventory Targets as set by Management and the GCS

· Support the analysis and resolution of issues highlighted through Key Performance Indicators

· Due to the nature and level of this Role, may be assigned on occasion tasks or projects not directly related to supply.

· Role may require some travel.

· Provide cover for other colleagues as required.

Experience

· The successful candidate will be of Graduate Calibre ideally with 3 years + of Planning/Purchasing, logistics or similar experience gained within a multinational environment.

· Ideally has membership to IIPMM, CPIM or similar body.

· Ability to work with detailed analysis of statistical information.

· Strong negotiation and influencing skills and ability to build relationships across various levels, functions and suppliers.

· Good communication and presentation skills.
