PharmEng requires an IT / Business Analyst from a strong MES , WERUM and ELN background for one of our client sites based in Cork. The position will be for 1 year initially. We require someone from a strong pharmaceutical background and would have a preference for someone with Biologics experience and someone with vaccines and process development/manufacturing experience.

  • In partnership with the Business Architect, facilitate the concept phase for all IT-enabled initiatives:
    • Document current and future state business process and information flow maps
    • Perform root cause analysis to identify current state process inefficiencies
    • Develop qualitative and quantitative business cases for process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Support business assessment reviews, Kaizen events and walk-throughs for Strategic initiatives, including both MMD and MRL standard technologies such as WERUM, ELN, Manufacturing Intelligence tools including PI, and others.
  • Develop detailed functional requirement specification from high level business concepts
  • Partner with the Business Architect or senior BA to develop solution alternatives for business requirements and ensure alignment with IT Architecture and Business Strategy
  • Lead the development of Quality Assurance Plans to set quality parameters and expectations for deliverables across all phases of the Company SLC
  • Lead the development of Test Plans and Test Scripts that can be traced back to functional requirement specifications and ensure that all requirements are tested satisfactorily
  • Support User Acceptance Test (UAT) activities to ensure quality of the end user deliverables
  • Coordinate end user training program development
  • Track realization benefits for IT investments
  • Gain knowledge, as it relates to client business processes and the current business environment in which they operate in, and support the ongoing development and maintenance of the IT Strategy.
  • Provide project management support for small and medium size local IT projects.


Education / Experience

• A minimum of 4 years experience in the areas of business requirements analysis and gathering, and business process engineering in a client facing role.

• Minimum 2 years of demonstrated project management experience.

• Experience and proficiency with one or more formal methodologies for business requirements analysis and business process engineering.

• Experience with and an in-depth understanding of software lifecycle methodologies.

• Ability to integrate diverse initiatives across systems development groups, business and client organizations, and infrastructure areas.

• Ability to forecast results based on trends, patterns, and sequences.

•Experience with Lean-Six Sigma methodologies.

•Working knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems, esp WERUM.

•Experience with technologies and processes for shop floor operations: PI Data Historian, Distributed Control systems, PLC's, and Manufacturing Intelligence tools.
