We have an immediate vacancy for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant (Scientific) to join the Fastnet team. Details are as follows:
Purpose of the role:
Partnering with and providing high-end solutions to clients in the Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical, Medical Device and Food & Beverage sectors. Managing all stages of the recruitment process with both clients and candidates, providing an excellent service within specialist sectors and helping to grow and develop the business within these markets. The successful candidate will receive full training in providing a turn-key recruitment service to Fastnet's broad range of blue chip clients. Primary responsibilities will be as follows:
SALES
- Sourcing contract and professional personnel through: conducting detailed database searches; researching, identifying & approaching suitably qualified professionals; and using industry networks to identify appropriate talent.
- Screening and assessing interested candidates.
- Presenting shortlists of closely matched candidates to client companies.
- Facilitating the recruitment process including scheduling interviews, assessment centres, medicals, references, negotiating job offers, contract administration etc.
- Cross selling other Fastnet Recruitment services.
- Managing and developing relationships with key clients.
- Achieving monthly sales targets (after a 3 month training period).
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Business development activity targeting new and existing clients.
- Proactively arranging and conducting client visits with new and existing clients.
- Developing and maintaining an expert knowledge of this specialist sector.
- Involvement in devising marketing strategies and completing all scheduled marketing activity.
CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RELATIONSHIPS
- Preparing candidates and clients for interview
- Post-interview debriefing of candidates and clients
- Managing the recruitment service professionally to Fastnet standards
- Ensuring that clients and candidates receive the higest possible level of service
ADMINISTRATION AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
- Reference checking of candidates.
- Discussing requirements in detail at the outset with clients to ensure thorough understanding of the technical and cultural 'fit' required.
- Facilitating the recruitment process including arranging interviews, assessment centres etc.
- Following agreed procedures and maintaining up to date records of all activities on the company software system.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Educated to Diploma/Degree Level
- A minimum of 4 years experience in industry is essential
- Experience in recruitment, HR and/or a background in the pharma/healthcare/food sectors would be a distinct advantage
