My client a dynamic manufacturing corporation have a requirement for a HR Business Partner for a 10/12mth contract role.

Job Purpose:

Supports execution of business strategy via application of HR processes and tools throughout organization. Serves as the primary contact for senior managers and directors for consultative HR support, including effectively managing individuals and teams/functions, with one or more aligned customer groups. Work is primarily process-focused and provides human resources leadership, services and tools that help lead to the successful achievement of departmental and individual performance goals. Exercises judgment and exerts influence on relevant objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Develops solutions to a variety of problems of diverse scope and complexity while managing precedents, and works independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Staffing to provide strategic staffing and recruitment consultation, with an organizational development perspective, in identifying, interviewing and selecting qualified candidates.
  • Provide support and guidance to customer groups to ensure consistent, equal, and fair treatment of their employees.
  • Provide guidance and direction to ensure equity within group(s) related to compensation and benefits issues.
  • Facilitate the timely, accurate and appropriate communication of rewards programs.
  • Interpret, implement and answer inquires related to HR policies and procedures, while ensuring consistency and reinforcing adherence as appropriate.
  • Provide input to the development of HR policies and programs.
  • Consult with customer group(s) on employee performance issues that may involve employee discipline and/or termination, position elimination and/or severance.
  • Coach and consult with management and employees on issues affecting morale, performance, personal development and overall employee satisfaction; helping to determine root causes and recommending appropriate next steps. Also, act as a resource/coach to HR colleagues.
  • Analyze complex situations or data; conducts research when necessary and makes appropriate recommendations.


Qualifications/ Experience:
  • Typical requirements include BA or BS Degree and 6-8 years of experience or Master's Degree with 6+ years of related experience along with diversified experience as a Consultant or a Specialist in one or more disciplines.
  • Full knowledge of legal implications of the employment relationship.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and presentation skills.
  • Thorough understanding and application of internal HR principles, concepts, practices and standards.
  • Strong project management skills along with negotiation and mediation skills.
