Conor Lynch has been appointed as a partner in the financial services team with law firm Mason Hayes & Curran. He will be based in the firm’s London office, advising domestic and international banks and financial institutions. His practice will focus on banking and financial services law, notably fund finance, project finance and leveraged finance transactions. He brings more than a decade of finance and capital markets experience to his new role. Conor is a graduate of UCD and a member of the Law Society of Ireland. He has been recognised as a ‘Rising Star’ by IFLR 1000, the guide to financial law firms.
Anne O’Leary, head of Meta Ireland, has been appointed as president for 2024-25 with Ibec, the group that represents Irish business. She succeeds Paul Duffy, senior VP with Pfizer Global Supply. Anne O’Leary joined Meta in 2022 as its VP of mid-market global business group in EMEA. In May 2023, she was appointed as head of Meta Ireland, overseeing Meta’s HQ in Ballsbridge Dublin, Clonee Data Centre in Meath and Reality Labs in Cork. Anne also holds seats on the boards of ESRI and Greencore. Anne was also previously CEO with Vodafone Ireland, MD with BT Ireland and regional director with Esat Telecom.
Niall Murphy has been appointed as a key account manager for the Munster region with Codex, the B2B office supplier. He will drive new business and manage key accounts within the Health Service Executive (HSE) and associated bodies in Munster. He worked for the past 17 years with Office Depot across Munster. He also worked for 14 years as an account manager at Unilever, serving consumer sectors clients nationwide. Niall will focus on growing Codex’s customer base in Munster, working closely with the firm’s furniture and print departments to maximise Codex’s service offerings across office supplies, furniture, print and facilities management.
Luiza Bueno has been promoted to service delivery manager with digital services company TEKenable, managing the resourcing and planning of projects from pre-sales to go-live and transition into support. She was previously a solution architect for six years, working closely with the HSE to provide the Covid tracker solution. Before that, she worked at L3CRM in Brazil as a consultant, helping companies in the UK and USA using Microsoft Dynamics. Luiza holds a degree in IT Management from Uninove, and several leadership, people management, business and technical certs. Luiza has 19 years’ experience in IT, working in several countries across many industries.
John Kearns as has been appointed as partner in the finance team of law firm Addleshaw Goddard, establishing the firm’s structured finance and debt capital markets offering. He is experienced in structured finance and debt capital markets (DCM) transactions on the issuer, bank and trustee sides. He was on the banking and finance team at Dentons Ireland. He has also worked with Simmons and Simmons in the Middle East, and with the capital markets team at Arthur Cox. He acts for clients ranging from international financial institutions to blue chip corporates to start-ups on often complex and bespoke structures and deals.
Gemma Prendergast has been appointed as regional manager for Munster with Excel Recruitment, bringing nearly two decades of expertise in recruitment and HR and advanced analytical skills, plus a keen focus on compliance and market research. She will drive business development across Munster for Excel, identifying new opportunities, and building strong relationships with clients to foster partnerships. She will lead a dedicated team of recruiters and administrative staff. “The Munster region offers significant potential, and I am eager to collaborate with the talented team to expand our footprint and deliver exceptional service to our clients. I look forward to making a meaningful impact,” she said.
