Emma Morgan has been appointed as head of investments for Davy Select, the investment platforms for self-directed investing. She will lead the investment team, developing and delivering innovative investment solutions. Emma brings 16 years of financial services experience to the role, including a decade at Morningstar Wealth in London where she served as a portfolio manager and investment consultant. She has extensive experience in asset allocation, portfolio construction, and fund research. Prior to her tenure at Morningstar, Emma worked at AIB Investment Managers in Dublin within the multi-manager team. She is a CFA charterholder and holds a BA in Business and Economics from TCD.
Robert Nolan has been appointed as executive head chef at Trump International Golf Links & Hotel, at Doonbeg, Co Clare. He joins from his role as executive sous chef at Carton House, a Fairmont-managed property. Robert has also held lead roles at The Conrad Hotel and The Merrion Hotel, where he honed his ability to balance tradition with contemporary cuisine.. Robert will oversee all dining outlets and deliver Irish cuisine with an innovative twist, using sustainable practices and sourcing local ingredients. “This is an incredible opportunity to collaborate with passionate professionals and showcase the best of Irish ingredients in a setting as inspiring as Doonbeg,” said Robert.
Caoimhe Clarkin, partner and head of litigation and regulatory at law firm DLA Piper Ireland, has been appointed to the board of DLA Piper International. She joined in 2019 as one of the founding partners of the firm’s Dublin office. She has more than 20 years of experience as a risk and compliance, crisis management, and litigation lawyer in the Irish market. She currently advises domestic and international corporate clients on contentious and advisory issues, notably in consumer goods, food and retail, financial services and insurance. She also advises on risk and crisis management and on managing relationships with regulators in Ireland and abroad.
Andrew Macadam has been appointed as vice-president of customer operations with Spectrum.Life, a global partner in digital whole-of-health solutions. He was previously global managing director for startups with Microsoft. Earlier in his career, Andrew was head of digital at Vodafone Ireland, where he led all digital sales and marketing activities. He will now oversee client delivery, marketing and non-clinical operations, while driving the Spectrum.Life’s business systems, tendering processes, and project management frameworks. He will also reinforce Spectrum.Life’s position as a leader in innovative mental health and wellbeing solutions. He holds an MBA from Henley Business School and a coaching certification from UCD Smurfit Graduate Business School.
Emma Ralph has been appointed as group head of Biostimulants, Adjuvants and Micronutrients (BAM) with Origin Enterprises, the sustainable land use specialist. Emma will lead the BAM portfolio activities across the group, while Simon Parker will continue to lead the Crop Protection portfolio. Emma brings over 25 years of agricultural industry leadership. She was managing director of UK-based adjuvant producer Interagro since 2018, and led the development of an innovative range of adjuvant and biostimulant products around the world. Emma began her career as a crop protection buyer and portfolio manager for an agricultural buying group before moving to a commercial role at BASF in 2010.
Greg Dempsey has been appointed as chief executive of the Food Safety Authority of Ireland. Currently deputy secretary general at the Department of Health, he replaces outgoing CEO, Dr Pamela Byrne. He has worked in the Department of Health for over a decade, and was previously assistant secretary and head of finance, before becoming deputy secretary where he heads the corporate affairs division. Prior to that, he was CFO with the Department of Finance. He has also held senior roles with the Central Bank and with financial services firms, including as CEO of Zurich Bank. He holds a BSc in FIS from TCD, and is a QCCA.
