Role:

Work as a lead member of the team, to deliver robust, user-friendly, quality software.

Specific tasks will include:

Providing mentoring and guidance to other team members.

Liaising with the development teams to ensure adherence to quality during the development process.

Providing tests that reflect the product specifications and in parallel with the system development lifecycle.

Assisting with planning and managing the team workload, including providing work estimates, and delivering to these estimates.

Software Testing based on industry best practise and experience.

Composing test cases that clearly verify the acceptability of software Executing test cases for testing enterprise software on a variety of web and thick client technologies.

Responsible for the production of quality documentation to support the quality process .

Requirements:

· A minimum of 3 years software testing experience, more recently at a senior level

· Working knowledge in the following areas:

o Relational databases/ANSI SQL (ORACLE, DB2 or SQL Server)

o Industry recognised testing methodologies

o The software development process

o Automated software testing tools

· Experience in the end user testing of enterprise thin client software applications

· A relevant third level qualification

· Financial business experience an advantage

· A commitment to working within a team, and a focus on enhancing team effectiveness

· A willingness to travel occasionally for short spells

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills preferably with experience working directly with customers
