Principal RF / Microwave Product Engineer with 10+yrs experience required for permanent role with leading multinational in Cork.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the release of new and innovative RF & Microwave IC based products
  • Lead and participate in technical design reviews to help improve the manufacturability and testability of products under development
  • Improve the yields and profitability of existing products
  • Interface with design groups on New Product Introduction and design for manufacturability
  • Monitor and investigate the yield issues
  • Continuously improve manufacturing test processes
  • Manage and design new class of package necessary


Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in a science or engineering discipline
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience (e.g. Semiconductor based product design, development, RF & Microwave testing or characterization)
  • New Product Introduction experience is essential
  • Good exposure and knowledge to RF and microwave components
  • Experience of IC package design a bonus
  • Technical competency and analytical skills
  • Project management skills
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills
  • Knowledge of SAP is desirable but not essential
  • Demonstrated ability to work on cross functional teams
  • Familiar with High Frequency RF testing and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to the US for training meetings
