Procurement Specialist - South Dublin.
Responsibilities of Position:
Procure critical stock inventory materials, components and packaging. Support equipment and services procurement.
Support requisitions for quotations to obtain quotations, examine and evaluate and make awards.
Support Supplier Selection and Evaluate Performance and Reliability through formal reporting process with defined metrics of Quality, Delivery and Performance.
Develop new supply sources where suppliers are required, and coordinate purchasing activities maintaining inventory at planned levels to support planning, manufacturing and support to programs, service and engineering departments.
Study market trends, interview vendors, and recommend sources of supply.
Analyze quotations received, select or recommend suppliers and schedule deliveries in line with site inventory stocking policies and contractual supplier agreements to support Customer Needs.
Monitor the cost, schedule and scope aspects of assigned subcontracts to assure best quantity and quality at best value.
Maintain and manage materials planning through MRP control. Follow up on orders placed and maintain necessary records of procured materials and delivery schedules.
Develop and maintain necessary records and files for efficient operation and site reporting.
Support all company safety and quality programs and associated initiatives.
Interested applicants for this role should have:
BS/BA or equivalent.
Minimum 4-6 years' experience; strong understanding of MRP and purchasing practices.
Strong ERP and negotiation skills.
Key supplier management experience.
Experience in manufacturing GMP environment, knowledge of MD ISI3485, an advantage.
Experience ideally in packaging technology solutions.
Track record of supplier sourcing and negotiation.
Experience in New Project Introduction Process.
