We are looking for PC support specialists for our client based in Cork. The company is a leading oil and gas exploration company and the Cork office support calls from user in the European, Middle Eastern and Caspian Sea areas.

The role involves both phone and email support from users in offices and in exploration sites dealing with PC issues such as email, connectivity and networking.

Full training is provided and the job is based in state of the art offices with a subsidised canteen.

Tasks include:

  • Provide professional and courteous Level 1 phone support service.
  • Resolve over the phone Incidents, and or Change Requests in a timely manner.
  • Escalate Incidents, and or Change Requests when required to the appropriate resolution group
  • Responsible for logging and updating all ticket information in the Global Ticketing Tool Throughout ticket life cycle.

Role Requirements:
  • Ability to work within a team oriented environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Manage the incoming calls and remain calm under pressure.
  • Accustomed and able to meet targets/SLAs within a pressurised environment
  • Use our Knowledge base tool to find key information needed to help resolve the issue
  • Well organized and disciplined.
  • Show awareness of wider implications of decisions.

Technical skills:
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience and general technical proficiency in distributed Operating System, Application and Networking technologies.

  • Strong Windows understanding for Desktops / PC / Laptops
  • Experience supporting multiple operation systems and/or office automation applications;
