A Permanent Quality Engineer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Galway based client. Please contact Tom Devaney for more information. The client will only accept applications from candidates who are suitable and have permission to work within the E.U.

*Provide QA Engineering support to test method/technology transfers, improvement projects and core teams.
*Provide a quality focus and technical support for the Functional task teams.
*Provide a quality focus for external and internal audits.
*Provide support for testing, review and release of Functional/MET laboratory.
*Serve as extended team member on projects, representing the Functional Quality function.
*Support and drive change orders for updates required within the department.
*Support LIMS activities including maintenance and governance.
*Support the generation of financial returns at month end for the department.
*Act as a Kronos backup for Engineering Supervisor.
*Providing on-going communication, information transfer and record keeping in support of department and core-team objectives and metrics.
*Apply First Time Quality and error proofing principles to equipment and process development in the functional areas.
*Lead or support root cause investigations; drive problem solving efforts for quality issues.
*Support risk management activities.
*Collaborate/Approve/Generate equipment & process related documentation, process changes
*Use statistical tools and established analysis techniques to support device evaluation.
*Adhere to Quality System requirements

*Minimum of a Bachelors Degree (Level 8 NFQ) in a relevant technical discipline (e.g. Engineering, Science).
*2-4 years experience in a medical devices or related environment with direct experience in a QA environment (GMP regulated). Drug/Device Combination product experience would be beneficial.
*Solid interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
*Ability to recognize and innovatively create solutions to issues and problems in a timely manner.
*Practical working knowledge of statistical data analysis and quality improvement tools and techniques preferable.
*Technical writing skills.
*Ability to take initiative and to organize and prioritize own work is essential.
*Effective time management skills.
