Senior Performance Analyst - Dublin West

Business Intelligence/Data Analysis/MIS General Summary The Sr. Performance Analyst (SPA) will be responsible for providing in-depth operations performance analytical support for the EU Operations Leadership team on an ongoing basis. The Sr. Analyst’s responsibilities will scope from measurement and analysis of detailed departmental level metrics to big picture Global Operations-wide metrics. Financial analysis and recommendation of new projects, processes, products, and proposals specific to operational efficiency, return on investment, TPV (Total Payment Volume) revenue result, operations cost, etc. will be a key responsibility of the Sr. Analyst as well. The SPA will also be responsible for communicating closely with the EU Operations Leadership team, Global Operations Leadership team, Operations FP&A team, and the Global Operations Analytics team. The SPA will further be responsible for other duties assigned by their manager. Specific Duties
• Prepare key strategic analysis of PayPal’s business to facilitate super fact based decision making
• Lead and develop projects and analytical analysis
• Provide EU specific operational analytics including monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc analysis of key performance metrics
• Create and deliver analysis recommendations and findings to EU Leadership team and Operations stakeholders; must have strong analytical, as well as presentation skills
• Manage and report status on projects and analysis, ensuring timely and accurate completion
• Gather data points necessary to perform analysis; this position will be supported by database experts, but some data systems competence is expected, specifically SQL and Teradata knowledge
• Create expert level analysis of any and all aspects of EU Operations (Fraud Operations, In-house Customer Service, Consumer Protections, Merchant Solutions, and Outsourcer Operations), and develop and monitor region-specific key performance metrics
• Recommend new and/or improved policies and practices
• Identify present and future analytical needs and proactively address them
• Establish and document analytical processes
• Share analytical expertise with all Operations Support teams
• Rapidly and effectively adapt to highly dynamic and aggressive work environment
Position Requirements
• Ability to develop reports and analyze information using Excel, Word and Access or other database tools
• Strong Familiarity with SQL and Teradata
• Ability to determine and effectively remedy operational deficiencies
• Ability to analyze information and provide feedback and improvement suggestions
• Ability to communicate effectively via email transmission by utilizing proper grammar and punctuation skills
• Ability to make discretionary decisions based on research, with a certain degree of creativity and latitude required
• Ability to learn and adapt to new software technologies
• Detail-orientated and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Well-developed sense of urgency and follow-through
• Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with co-workers and peers
• Ability to handle multiple projects under pressure
