Our Client an International Healthcare Technology company is looking for a Senior Data Center Operations Manager.
Overall Purpose of Job:
His role will be based on Manage Day-day Operation of Corporate Data Centers and provide Leadership to support operations, servers, troubleshooting infrastructure technical issues, maintaining systems, inventory-storage and implementing technology upgrades.
The Data Center Operations Manager will ensure that Data Centers environmental equipment is functioning properly, maintained, and closely monitored, as well as Manage Vendor relationships.
This person will manage an IT staff worldwide, perform equipment installation, infrastructure cabling, racking & stacking, capacity planning, hardware procurement, and operations activities.
The Data Center Operations Manager will also develop and maintain operations policies and procedures and information record keeping for IT audits.
Main Duties:
- Data Manage and implement processes and procedures for the application and functional server operations of data centers to include support of server performance, systems security, application operations, and performance data center resource planning and performance monitoring center operations experience that includes business continuity, capacity planning and forecasting, and disaster recovery.
- Manage a team of IT professionals located worldwide.
- Ensure system and application availability – on call and reliable 24/7.
- Oversee infrastructure management maintenance of systems, technology upgrades, and application and server support.
- 24x7x365 On-call coordinator for IT escalations due to service level agreements defined.
- Manage budget for data centers.
Skills
This position requires 10+ years prior experience in data center, IT systems, and network administration. Previous experience working in a SaaS Data Center environment .5+ years of data center operations experience that includes capacity planning, forecasting, disaster recovery planning and implementation, and business continuity is a must. Current technical expertise in the development and implementation of IT infrastructure (windows servers, SAN storage, networking security, backup, virtual computing, etc.) is required. BS in technical discipline or equivalent experience and/or advanced degree is a plus. Must be able to assist the team in the data center by being physically able to rack and move equipment. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and problem solving skills with a high degree if integrity and discretion is a must. (Spanish and English fluent speaker)
