We are currently recruiting a Retail Manager for our store's in the Midlands .

Gamestop is the largest specialist retailer of games in the world with over 6100 stores across the US, Europe, Australia and Puerto Rico.

This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of the store management team.
The primary function of this role is to be fully accountable for the success of a store and drive sales by managing all aspects of store operations. The store manager is responsible for ensuring that the store staff provide friendly and enthusiastic customer service, in person and on the phone. He/she will maintain clean, well organised and properly merchandised stores at all times and ensure that all policies, procedures and controls are followed. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control to ensure store shrink is within company guidelines and protecting company property and assets.

The role involves

  • Ensuring that the sales team provide a friendly open and enthusiastic customer service both in person and on the phone.
  • Driving Sales.
  • Being a Champion for Customer Service.
  • Answering questions and assisting with product selection, purchases and returns.
  • Maintaining a clean, well organised and properly merchandised store at all times.
  • Ensuring that all policies, procedures and controls are followed at all times.
  • Administration.
The ideal candidate for this position will:

  • be customer focused and retail aware;
  • have a proven track record in retail;
  • 1-2 years as a Store Manager or be an experienced Assistant Manager ready to take the next step;
  • have good organisational and communication skills;
  • be flexible, motivated and willing to travel when needed;
  • possess a desire to pursue a career in retail.
