My client, a leading manufacturing company in Europe and Nationwide, are currently in the process of setting up a European financial services department at their facility in Cork. They currently require a number of Accounts Payable Specialists to service their existing European markets. Successful candidates will have minimum of 3 years Accounts Payable experience within a Shared Service Centre and preferably, a second European language

Responsibilities:
• Database management: verification and optimization of all invoices.
• Monitoring the automatic processing of invoices
• Matching invoices to Purchase Orders on SAP.
• Verification of invoices directly against GL & Cost Centre.
• Handling of Exceptions
• Execution of Payment Runs.
• Inter-company reconciliations at month-end.
• Reconciling third party vendors.
• Reporting on un-posted invoices at month-end.
• Answering invoice queries where language support is required.
• Resolving all queries from supplier, local markets and SSC, in a timely and professional manner.
• Reconciling Inter-company statements and follow-up of any un-resolved issues.
• Preparing all Account Payable reports on monthly & weekly basis.
• Clearing AP debit balances and credit notes not allocated.
• Aged vendor reporting.
• Inter-company recharges.

Requirements
• Experienced accountant within a multi-national, multi-location corporation.
• Systems experience essential – JD Edwards or Oracle are preferable
• Strong customer service focus with ability to communicate to non-financial personnel as well as financial auditors essential
• Fluency in English is essential with a second European language preferable. In the absence of a second European language, experience in financial operations within one of the following companies will be considered: France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and Portugal.
