Position: Senior electronics project development engineers
Reporting to: Engineering Manager
Tekelek Europe Ltd are a well established electronic device and OEM manufacturer of electronic controls supplied to producers of residential and commercial appliance systems. We are seeking to recruit a senior project development engineer to join the R+D lab based in Shannon. The successful candidate will be responsible for the specification and design of products, from requirements definition through circuit design, PCB layout, supplier management, software development, product performance verification, and production launch.
While the successful candidate, will have a degree in electronic engineering, and must meet the following minimum criteria, experience in the HEVAC industry would be an advantage:
- Minimum 7 years experience in the development of analog and digital circuits utilising embedded microprocessors including software programming in C and assembly languages.
- Familiarity with standards (low voltage, safety, EMC)
- High degree of innovation and creativity
- Must have a good communication skills and be self-motivated
This position offers the successful candidate the potential to further develop their electronics development skills in a fast moving and challenging environment. Candidates must be capable of working on their own initiative, taking ownership of a product development project from initiation to completion, and will enjoy the challenge of working in a customer oriented environment.
Duties/Accountabilities:
This involves but is not limited to;
· Liaise with the customer to evolve & finalise technical specifications.
· Support on site customer validation testing as required.
· Identify & schedule all project R&D tasks in conjunction with engineering manager.
· Fully document designs with: a theory of operation, design calculations, maintaining a design notebook.
· Perform detailed digital and analogue circuit design, simulation, & analysis as appropriate to the project.
· BOM generation / engineering purchasing / key component supplier nomination.
· Designs to meet regulatory and industry compliance requirements appropriate to the target market & keep up to date with new standards in the industry.
· Participate in / conduct / co-ordinate design verification testing where appropriate
· Assist with RFQ responses as requested
· Adhere to internal & customer procedures
· Input to ECN for products in production as appropriate.
· Maintain orderly project plans & records.
· Functional test specification generation
