Leading medical device company require experienced Warehouse Project Manager for 6 month contract role, due to continued projects onsite.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Project Management – Lead the operational aspects of the transfer project including development and delivery of all activities related to a seamless start up of the project. This will include:
1. Development of an activity based schedule for the Warehouse
2. Lead warehouse personnel through the transition of the product transfer
3. Implementation of storage reconfiguration recommendations
4. Optimisation of the material delivery process
5. Lead operational risk assessment
6. Represent warehouse at monthly project reviews

• People management - supervision of the warehouse personnel involved in the transfer project and in the standard operation. This will be achieved through an empowering style of leadership coupled with a positive Employee Relations approach. This includes :
- providing timely feedback and review, and ensuring all performance issues are dealt with in a constructive and prompt manner.
- consistently applying company H.R. policies,
- ensuring that all employees are treated with the fairness and respect due to them.
- facilitating open two-way communications regarding individual, team and company performance through weekly team meetings and daily interaction on the line.
- liaising with line trainer to develop a training program to ensure smooth operation of department, development of product builders, health & safety of personnel.
- employee selection and hiring.

• Embedding GMP / Housekeeping during the rollout of the transfer product.
• Cross-functional management of site support services for the team.
• Interaction with other manufacturing teams, other project teams and the logistics department as appropriate
• Managing process and material flows, space management, to maximise utilisation of the warehouse.
• Administration duties which include Time and Attendance system, Holiday planning, Build Plan review Back Order review, Travel planning etc.
• Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports the plants Quality Policy, Quality System and the appropriate regulations for the area they support. Ensure employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

• Bachelor of Science / Engineering and / or APICS / Supply Chain Management or other relevant 3rd level qualifications.
• Warehouse Project management experience
• Previous experience or working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma manufacturing would be an distinct advantage
• 5 /6 years experience in a supervisory capacity in a manufacturing environment with a demonstrated ability in people motivation, organising and team building.
• Good knowledge of GMP/FDA regulatory requirements, housekeeping, health and safety desireable.
• Previous experience in medical device/pharmaceutical environment would be an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid record of attention to detail and strict adherence to procedures
