The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary group of laboratory based scientists who are providing primary, secondary, and tertiary loop support to mammalian cell culture Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing processes (both upstream and downstream). He or she will develop scale down filtration models and provide an engineering perspective to other manufacturing and tech transfer challenges.

Role:
+Provide technical support for primary recovery/filtration operations.
+Support technical transfer of processes into the operations/manufacturing environment.
+Partner with Engineering/Operations/Quality to troubleshoot processes and deliver on a continuous improvement agenda.
+Build a deep technical expertise in the area of responsibility.
+Develop strong data-driven decision-making processes.

Skills:
+Minimum, degree-level qualification in Biochemical/Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
+Relevant laboratory based experience
+Mammalian Cell Culture experience is a preference
+Knowledge of the application of mathematical modeling to biological systems would be an advantage
+ Demonstrated abilities in teamworking, initiative, communication, organization skills and flexibility.
