Client Information:
Our client based in Central Asia is currently in the process of Large Scale developments throughout the Central Asia region. They are currently in the process of developing large Educational and Commercial projects in the region and have developed an excellent reputation throughout the region and further a field in the process.
Location: Bishkek, Central Asia
Description
• Degree Architecture, Engineering, Surveying or Similar
• 15 - 20 years experience
• Manage and lead the Planning and Construction Management Division (PCMD) team.
• Act as the Project Director from time to time when requested to do so.
• Conduct regular briefing and coordination meetings with management
• Carry out ongoing reviews and assessments of all aspects of the designs and drawings prepared by architects/engineers to ensure that these are technically appropriate and acceptable and that they are cost effective.
• Monitor the Design and Construction of three university campus developments including the performance of the contractors, architects and project managers
• Monitor all quality control, scheduling, costing and safety aspects of the construction works as they are carried out on the sites.
• Manage, supervise and coordinate the activities of the Resident Project Manager and his site staff at each of the three sites.
• This will entail frequent visits to, and short stays at, the sites of the three university campuses and will involve close coordination with the Resident Engineer and his site staff.
• Lead, manage and coordinate the economic fallout activities of working in close conjunction with other agencies and institutions.
• Develop, manage and coordinate suitable training courses relating to the economic fallout effort.
• Liaise with various funding organizations as required.
The Deputy Project Director will be a qualified architect or engineer and will possess:
• A minimum of 20 years experience since qualification in the design, construction and management of building
• A minimum of 10 years experience as Resident Engineer or Project Manager with overall responsibility for managing and supervising large scale multi-million dollar building projects and for managing project management and site supervisory teams.
• Knowledge of the different forms and types of construction contracts used on large scale projects and extensive experience in administering these contracts.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Familiarity with the programming and scheduling of large scale building projects.
• Report to the Project Director or such other person who may be nominated by management from time to time.
• Work closely and coordinate fully with other senior staff
• Previous experience of working in a CIS country together with proficiency in spoken and/or written Russian would be a distinct advantage.
• Fluent English and Overseas Experience Essential.
