Our client is a market leader in plastic sheet extrusion, with operations across multiple European sites. Manufacturing includes products such as polystyrene and acrylics, through to engineering polymers like polycarbonate and new materials developed from polyesters.
An opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Production Operations Manager to join the Management team.
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide leadership, set clear goals across sites, monitor both individual and team performance.
  • Ensure all operating sites produce the required products, efficiently, on-time, to a high quality and in the most cost effective manner.
  • Communicating daily with Site/Production Managers and Head Office Management team.
  • Overseeing and driving continuous improvement.
  • Improving operational performance and lowering operational costs.
To be considered for this position you must have:

  • Experience and capability of setting and managing challenging budgets coupled with the ability to identify and make decisive actions in order to move the business forward.
  • Experience of continuous improvement, quality assurance and multi site manufacturing.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate both technical detail and strategic concepts.
  • A proven track record of change management, including building, driving and leading diverse production departments within a number of European multi site manufacturing locations.
Ideally you will hold a Degree in a Manufacturing or Engineering discipline with tangible evidence of success within a similar senior production/ operations role.
