Technical Services Engineer - Chemical Engineering
In partnership with its client CPL is currently seeking an experienced Technical Services Engineer for a permanent role based in Wicklow
Job Responsibilities
Responsibility and ownership for all activities associated with their assigned Product. Their overarching goal is support API/DP INT processes. They will provide technical and process engineering solutions to support new production introduction.
• Preparation of production documentation including batch records, cleaning records, protocols and summary reports.
• Proposing process engineering solutions to chemical manufacturing processes, in particular the development of optimal reaction, crystallisation, filtration cleaning and drying processes. Support PAT initiatives.
• Utilising statistical tools to analyse process data to identify variation and giving your recommendations for corrective action.
• Selection of appropriate operating parameters and controls to ensure successful implementation of chemical manufacturing processes.
• Assessment of plant and equipment suitability and capabilities, and identification of necessary engineering upgrades.
• Lead plant investigations to understand root cause for process and equipment deviations and implementation of appropriate corrective actions.
• Member of New Products Team - responsible for all activities relating to New Product Introduction, including ordering of raw materials and consumables, operator training, and coordination of project-related plant activities.
• Provide production related input to ongoing projects such as new product start-ups, plant and equipment commissioning and validation programmes
Job Requirements
• Degree in Chemical Engineering
• Min 1-2 years of experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment preferably in the API manufacturing industry
• Good knowledge of documentation requirements in a batch processing environment.
• Experience of working with plant shop floor personnel during commissioning or validation programmes.
• Understanding of 6-sigma problem solving methodology
