Matrix Recruitment is working closely with a Medical Device company in the recruitment of Engineering Professionals for its plant located in Westmeath.

We are now seeking to fill a permanent role of Manufacturing Engineer with this client.

The position will include the following responsibilities:

· Ensure new machines/equipment are installed and commissioned efficiently in accordance with safety and validation procedures.

· To participate with other members of the engineering group in the transfer of new technology from our sister plants.

· To be actively involved in sourcing, testing and approving materials.

· Assist in establishing the most effective, reliable and cost effective processing methods for our manufacturing processes/operations.

· Co-ordinate the introduction / implementation of process / materials changes to the manufacturing operation.

· Provide systems support for production in the areas of installation/operation/process qualification, PM's, engineering spares, maintenance, training program and calibration systems.

· To prepare technical documentation such as standard operating procedures, safety programmes, validation protocols, technical reports, engineering calculations, change controls and other documentation as required.

We are seeking degree qualified engineering graduates with four years+ experience, preferably in a medical device environment and with experience of multilayer packaging components. Knowledge of SPC and six sigma is desirable.
