Our client a leading Law firm in the Cayman Islands wish to recruit a Corporate Lawyer with a minimum of 3 years experience in the area of Funds/ Insurance/Litigation and Insolvency. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading and expanding firm with an excellent Tax free remuneration package.
Job Description
Funds / Corporate: including the formation of a wide range of Cayman based corporate vehicles and advising on all types of transactions involving such vehicles. The firm also provides registered office and company secretarial services for Cayman Islands companies, partnerships and other Cayman based entities.
Insurance : the firm advises on the structuring, licensing and organisation of all categories of insurance companies and their ongoing compliance and corporate requirements.
Litigation / Insolvency: provide advice and assistance on complex general commercial litigation including the enforcement of foreign judgments, tracing claims, banking litigation, claims in conversion, injunctions including mareva injunctions, contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, professional negligence claims and judicial review proceedings.
Structured Finance: advise on securitisations, repackagings, bond issues, asset backed financing, Euro bond issues, medium term note programs, commercial paper programs, CLO's, CBO's and CDO's.
Trusts: advise on private client trusts and complex commercial trust structures including unit trusts
Skills/Knowledge
· The ideal candidate will have a legal or similar background and have completed a qualification in these fields from a recognized institution or professional body
· A qualified corporate lawyer with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience (required to practice law in Cayman)
· Exceptional letter writing, computer literacy, analytical and interpersonal skills are important.
