We have been retained to recruit an Engineering Director for our client in Mayo.
In this role you will act as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team which develops and implements the strategic direction for the organisation. As Engineering Director you will lead all engineering activities in the operation including Facilities, Capital Projects, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Automation and Process Engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities will include
• Contribute to the overall strategic planning and day to day management of the operation
• Manage, lead, motivate and develop a multi-skilled team consisting of approximately 35 Engineers and Managers.
• Lead engineering activities on a day to day basis including; process innovation, design for new equipment and project management activities in addition to outsourced maintenance contracts.
• Build organisational capabilities at the individual level to drive operational performance with a high level of employee ownership.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and best practice in relation to construction, ATEX, COSHHE, electrical regulations etc.
Interested applicants should have:
• Third Level qualification in Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years' management experience in a world class hi-tech manufacturing environment, typically process, pharmaceuticals, food or healthcare.
• Excellent people management, communication and team building skills
• Ability to drive continuous process improvements in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
• Ability to work in a team based, international, matrixed, ambiguous environment.
Salary for this position will be negotiable and benefits will include car allowance, bonus, healthcare etc.
