Matrix Recruitment is working closely with manufacturing company in the recruitment of a Production Planner for its Midlands Plant. This is permanent role which offers good benefits and package.

Essential Criteria:
Primary Degree ideally with APICS certification.
5 years of related experience running an MRP system in a manufacturing environment.
Good analytical & problem solving skills taking.
Demonstrates attention to detail.
Good understanding of Supply Chain and Materials Management principles.
Excellent communication skills.


Role Summary :
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Production Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating customer orders through the complete cycle from order acceptance to delivery. Scheduling fulfillment of customer orders. Act as the primary contact for customers for all order fulfillment and customer service issues.


Key Accountabilities:
  • Receives all customer purchases orders and accepts following amendments agreed with the customer if necessary
  • Plans and manages production schedule to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity
  • Creates Work Orders (WO) and reschedules existing Works Orders if required
  • Participates in the weekly production planning meeting and presents analysis of sales forecasts
  • Monitors daily production activities (actual vs planned) and takes corrective action as required
  • Interfaces with purchasing and manufacturing on material status and production planning issues.
