The primary function of this position is to provide legal advice and support to Cook Medical’s European operations. Areas of responsibility will include third party contracts, employment law, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, IP, corporate compliance and other general business areas. The Legal Counsel will also manage relationships with the company’s legal advisors throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Requirments/Qualifications

Open, approachable personality – ability to communicate – willingness to explain complex legal issues in simple language

Formal legal qualification and qualified to practise law in Ireland, UK or USA

Proven ability to research and advise on legal issues and draft/negotiate legal documents

Written or spoken ability in at least one major European language (other than English) would be an advantage.

Computer literate – good working knowledge of Microsoft® Office is a prerequisite.

Proven problem-solving skills.

Excellent organisational skills.

High self-motivation.

Requirements

Willingness and ability to travel on company business.
