We are a large international financial services company who are currently establishing a state of the art software centre in scenic County Kerry. This new centre in Co Kerry will support the group’s Western Hemisphere IT operations and a range of functions including Software Development and Testing, Network Support, Data Centre Support, Testing and Helpdesk activities will be created. Right now we are hiring an experienced Information Security Systems Administrator, to be based full time on site in our new offices in Kerry. This is a permanent job.
Role:
You will have responsibility for supporting security solutions for the organisation. You will implement and maintain solutions that monitor and secure internal and external systems and infrastructure. This includes the on-going maintenance and management of hardware and software that secures the organisations' systems, analysing and troubleshooting issues, and monitoring for potential security incidents.
Your duties will include Active Directory Account Administration, Imprivata OneSign administration, and managing and maintaining the internal Information Security portal. You will work with Administration and Support teams to implement security software and monitoring agents on windows and unix systems, network devices and databases, and you will monitor all security systems and software to ensure proper and effective operation. You will be responsible for monitoring system security, including event analysis, trend analysis, and compliance with Information Security procedures and policies. As part of your remit you will write and maintain security administration and technical documentation including design docs, test plans, project plans, procedures, incident reports and troubleshooting guides.
Required Experience:
You have a strong understanding of Windows and Unix environments with at least 2 years of enterprise scale IT system administration. You are competent in administering/supporting MS Active Directory and you have a solid knowledge of current best practise IT security techniques, including defenses against viruses and other attacks. You should have a good conceptual knowledge of file systems, databases, virtualization, and identity management along with a working knowledge of monitoring protocols such as Syslog and SNMP. You have a good understanding and knowledge of network communications (TCP/IP, ICMP, Telnet, etc…) and you are familiar with software installation techniques and troubleshooting, including package management with MSI and RPM.
In addition to this profile, if you had experience in Imprivata OneSign or if you had experience with encryption protocols such as SSH and SSL, this would be desirable.
