HUDSON IT & TELECOMS ARE SEEKING A CONTRACT RESOURCE FOR AN ASSISTANT MANAGER IT, IN A PRODUCT SYSTEMS DELIVERY ENVIRONMENT
The Responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:
* Responsible for delivery of all proposition developments in partnership with Product Solutions.
* Providing guidance on the mathematical aspects of system developments within IT.
* Ensuring IT system compliance with standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
* Responsible for the day to day management and support of the calculation systems within the business.
* Preparing and implementing a development plan to maximise the effectiveness of the team within IT and as an actuarial function within the wider business.
Technical Competencies:
* Mathematical qualification required and at least 5 years' industry experience.
* Ability to analyse, plan, co-ordinate, test and implement regular product releases across multiple IT systems .
Specific Requirements:
* Ensuring ongoing compliance of IT future values and disclosure systems with standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
* Product Solutions Group representative for IT.
* Troubleshooting and providing advice as required across all IT Change and Production Support.
Other Responsibilities:
* Team Management - setting staff objectives, performing staff reviews and ensuring staff training and development needs are met.
* Responsible for ensuring commitments are met in accordance with agreed plans and working through issues to successful conclusion as they arise.
* Planning, scheduling and communicating milestones and target outcomes for projects to Business and IT stakeholders.
* Maintaining strong working ties with actuarial managers in Product Solutions & Corporate Actuarial.
