required to manage over all day-to-day maintenance operational activities of the Maintenance function and all equipment maintenance issues, in a state of the art automated manufacturing technology plant in Cork.
Responsibilities of Maintenance Manager:
Lead the development and maintenance of a world class maintenance & facilities function, in line with KPIs and similar metrics.
Develop and sustain the plant maintenance systems to support the accreditation and retention of the ME2 standard.
Manage maintenance capital project work and contractor activity.
Leadership role in site housekeeping standards & management of external contractors.
Management of energy program for the site focusing on sustainability, usage and costs.
Ensure compliance to HSE requirements.
Maintain maintenance benchmarking in line with world class standards.
Develop both team and individual goals and objectives and measure actual performance against them, providing timely and honest feedback on performance in all cases.
Preparation and management of maintenance departmental expense and capital budgets
Increase cost effectiveness of the maintenance function on a year-by-year basis.
Develop and maintain an environment of continuous improvement and process excellence.
Provide operational support to all new products and/or processes to the facility.
Work with the maintenance, operational engineering, projects and development teams within engineering to support strategic plans.
Requirements for Maintenance Manager:
Degree in Engineering or similar.
Additionally, Master Degree in engineering, facilities management or maintenance engineering or Diploma in Project management
8+ year’s postgraduate experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven line management experience, in conducting performance reviews, disciplining staff, etc.
Maintenance management knowledge & experience in a CNC/robotic environment or similar.
Business management expertise in engineering and maintenance.
