Progressive multi-national going through an expansion with a number of new lines being introduced to the Waterford site.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Process Engineering Engineer is required to design, develop, implement and support manufacturing systems.
Identify, design, develop and implement process and equipment innovations and improvements. .
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation. Prepare and present the business case for change.
Liaise with Operations and Plant Engineering functions
Use appropriate engineering techniques to manage projects, gather and analyse data e.g. six sigma methods.
Implement equipment changes with minimal impact on day-to-day operations.
Bachelors in Engineering preferred disciplines are mechanical, chemical, industrial.
A minimum of 4 years in technical role in high volume manufacturing environment.
Chemical process scale-up an advantage
Six sigma experience an advantage
Demonstrated problem solving skills – able to collect data, consider alternative approaches and identify the best course of action.
Medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
