Job purpose:

This is a key role within the HR function, reporting directly to the HR Manager. The HR Business Partner will assist implementing HR best practices and will be accountable for managing key HR projects, day to day employee issues (grievance & disciplinary) and supporting the HR Manager with major HR related initiatives that come on-line over the course of the contract.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and deliver key HR projects
  • Support on-going integration of a significant recent acquisition
  • Effectively handle employee relations issues in line with policies & procedure
  • Engage with employees and unions as appropriate on behalf of the Company and effectively manage issues arising, avoiding IR action or disruption.
  • Provide HR advice & support to the Management team
  • Handle the recruitment of any vacancies
  • Facilitate continuous development and improvement
  • Analyze, administer and advise on compensation & benefits
  • Assist with the appraisal and review process
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures


  • Skills and Experience required:

  • 5+ years generalist HR experience
  • CIPD qualified/Third level degree in HR/related discipline
  • Strong track record in managing HR projects with minimal supervision married with effective upward communication to management
  • Strong experience of dealing with complex employee relations issues.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation & benefits, in particular experience of harmonizing terms and conditions
  • Excellent knowledge of current employment legislation is essential
  • High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative and commitment
  • Professional demeanor with strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written (attention to detail) and verbal
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent computer skills, to include MS Office Suite & HR Databases
