Servicing requirements for the SME and multinational manufacturing sector in Ireland, our client provides technical solutions to the life science, semi-conductor, oil & gas, and food & beverage sectors. They are currently on the lookout for a Senior Packaging Engineer to join their highly skilled team.

As a Senior Packaging Engineer, you’ll be responsible for executing packaging equipment projects.
Specifically, these projects will involve the overall management of packaging projects, including the specification, procurement, build management, installation, commissioning and validation of packaging equipment.
You will provide solutions to a variety of highly complex technical problems, independently evaluate, select, and modify standard engineering techniques.
Your other duties will include:
- Managing equipment suppliers and service providers
- Developing support relationships with external sources, including equipment, service and spare suppliers
- Maintaining an awareness of the impact of new products on manufacturing equipment
- Applying advanced engineering principles to design, qualify and implement primary and secondary packaging components
To be considered for this unique opportunity, you must have:
- Experience of packaging and/or process engineering working within a high speed automated and high volume manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of GMP / SDLC
- A degree in an engineering-related discipline, such as mechanical or manufacturing
As a Senior Packaging Engineer, you’ll be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal. Strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities are also key.
Whilst not essential, a project management related qualification or PMBOK knowledge would be beneficial to your application. Experience gained within design regulated environments (FDA, IMB or ISO registered) would also be an advantage.
