The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing the large scale Warehouse facility adjoined to our clients manufacturing site. They will be responsible for supervising a team of five individuals to ensure timely movement of product in and out of the stores. Reporting to the Master Planner, the Warehouse Supervisor will also responsible for scheduling, stocktakes and ensuring product dispatched is in line with customer requirements. This person will be a core part of the Supply Chain team, liaising directly with both internal and external parties on related aspects of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out daily physical stock counts to cross-check production details, highlight any inaccuracies to production management and ensure that these are corrected by the following working day at latest.
  • Maximise the use of storage space. Ensure that products / pallets are safely stacked and racked with clear aisle and exit access.
  • Agree with the Master Planner quantity, type and timing of product moves to outside stores for both own and non-asset stock.
  • Highlight on e-mail aged / damaged stock to QA (cc DFI Master Planner).
  • Monitor Answers report detailing ‘cert of analysis’ material
  • Prepare for stock take, take part / facilitate stock take teams and complete stock-take reconciliation.
  • Ensure that only the correct product type / specification (as cleared in writing by QA) is shipped to customers.
  • Ensure that all product is shipped to customers in good condition with no customer complaints. Request QA inspection/approval where any issues occur with products coming from production to ensure problems are corrected at source.
  • Use of Oracle and ERP Dashboards to reflect all stock movements accurately, complete all required transactions and for reporting and tracking warehouse movements


Requirements:

  • Third level degree (minimum 2.1) and/or masters qualification in a relevant discipline;
  • 3 + year’s experience in a similar role;
  • Strong business acumen and commercially aware;
  • Proven working relationship with people;
  • Good influencing & people management skills;
  • Willingness to work effectively in a team environment and to adapt to challenges in the course of achieving objectives;
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills are required;
  • Proven track record of strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise tasks and focus on and meet task deadlines;
  • Experience in a warehouse environment within a large scale manufacturing plant is essential
