Our client based in West Wicklow has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and qualified Production Manager for a full time permanent vacancy. As a member of the management team you will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of all production activities. You will be a key contributor in defining company strategy and ensuring its delivery. You role will be split in to 3 key areas; Production Management, MRP Planning/Master Scheduling/Inventory Control & IT and People Management and will involve the following duties;

-Management of day-to-day production operations and maintenance of daily KPI’s.

-Implementation of continuous improvement activities to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

-Team lead and performance management of teams.

-Propose and implement improvements in staff levels, layout, capital equipment, drive lean practices and workflow to yield.

-Development and management of Master Scheduling, MRP Planning process and master data.

-Implement SAP for production and procurement activities.

-Responsibility for site IT function.

-Employee relations and people management.

-Staff rostering and weekly rotation and allocation.

-Induction management for new hires.

You will be Degree qualified in Engineering, Production or a Manufacturing or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in WCM environment at a managerial level. You will have a working knowledge of SAP MRP and previous experience in SAP implementation is advantageous. A qualification in APICS would be an advantage. A knowledge of the German language would be advantageous.
