Project Engineer
Our Client a Blue Chip, Multinational medical device company based in the Midlands requires an experienced Project Engineer. You will collaborate across multiple sites through out Europe, applying engineering knowledge to complete complex assignments as required in line with the strategic requirements, this role is very much stand alone with little supervision so a strong track record in Project Management is essential.
This role will manage relevant divisional engineering projects that will require leadership, technical competency and excellent communication skills to drive solutions across multiple sites.
Develop engineering solutions for products and processes; implements major line improvements
Responsibilities:
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system
Develops, plans, coordinates and directs engineering aspects of projects of major scope and importance.
Maintains project controls and reporting for cost, scope and schedule, develops execution strategy and contingency plans in the event of schedule slippage or cost overruns.
To provide the necessary Engineering support & services to Engineering Departments across ADD European Sites.
Provide guidance and support to OEM sites in Europe to resolve any engineering issues, and ensure that they are in compliance with company manufacturing standards.
Develop scope, design and Cost Estimates on process improvement projects.
Write requests for capital expenditure (RCE’s) for division wide projects.
Liaise with site Engineers to identify cost improvement projects, develop cost estimates, review for cross site opportunities and ensure provision is made in Capital plans.
Provide input to division capital planning system, preparing cost justification plans and proposed implementation plans for annual plan reviews.
Benchmarks internally and externally, identifies trends in new technology and recommends division wide programs to apply new concepts and techniques.
Maintain clear communication lines with all sites to ensure consistent deployment of best in class practices and equipment
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or Masters in Engineering, Science or a related discipline.
8+ years in Engineering in an FDA regulated manufacturing environment including 3 years of process automation engineering.
- Knowledge of equipment and facility qualifications, preparing and executing of IQ/OQ and PQ protocols.
- Participate in internal, cross-divisional teams to develop and align procedures and standards.
- Ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and directly, both verbally and in writing, to a widely varied audience.
