The primary purpose of this role is to drive down the cost of quality in the organization, and investigate and solve key process / quality issues via good engineering practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Drives continuous improvement through the analysis of manufacturing process and quality data and identify key projects for business improvement.
  • Provides leadership and support to investigation activities, and ensures good Quality engineering practices are used.
  • Developing quality systems as well as participating /leading cross functional project teams on key quality projects such as NPD projects and new product introductions.
  • Expand inline monitoring capability and monitoring of key inputs and outputs to the manufacturing process.
  • Utilizes multifaceted industry and process excellence standards on an expert level in daily quality operations, and to drive understanding of key process inputs / outputs.
  • Creates Reports on Quality / process performance metrics and presents data to higher management.
  • Ensures capable measurement systems to monitor effectiveness of quality and reliability of product / process, to identify, bracket, correct and prevent defects.
  • Supports QA programs in assuring compliance to the pertinent regulations (FDA CFR , ISO)
  • Identify and lead cost and technical improvements under the departments’ continuous improvement program.
  • Provide key inputs and leadership into transformational process developments , and NPD projects
  • Project Management - provide timely and accurate reporting on project activities.
  • Actively interfaces with cross-functional team members, always practicing good team work in support of day to day operating requirements.
  • Interfaces with key business partners such as operations / Engineering / Process engineering.
  • Work with team leader to develop and implement strategic engineering Goals & Objectives.
  • Ensures continuous improvement and understanding of measurement systems used on-site, driving down variance in test methodology, and driving technological improvements in the on-site labs.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
  • Degree Qualified with minimum 6 years relevant industrial experience preferably in Medical Devices/Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Excellent working knowledge of process excellence / QE tools such as pFMEA, SE, statistical analysis , SPC
  • CAPA and RCI experience
  • Risk management experience
