Supply Chain Manager

In this role you will develop and manage all aspects of the Supply Chain function within a very high volume manufacturing environment. This position requires the individual to grow the supply chain function, develop the team, implement the optimum strategies and ensure that the key supply chain metrics are exceeded.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement - Procure a range of highly unique and specialised components from selected suppliers, manage stock levels by ensuring the entire system is synchronised, manage part obsolesce, ship-to-stock decisions, etc.
Inventory Management - Manage inventory accuracy throughout all elements of the supply chain – From pipeline of inventory at suppliers to raw material on hand through to finished goods.
Production Support - Manage all aspects of the warehouse including receiving, material handling, shipping, daily transactions, etc.
Logistics - Develop and optimise shipping of finished goods to several geographies, external carriers, third party warehouses & logistics, customs, etc.
Supply chain effectiveness & efficiency - Develop & implement strategies that optimize all aspects of the supply chain - people, system, supplier, etc.
Team management - Responsible for employee training, performance, measurement, development, motivation and recognition.

Interested applicants should have:

Proven ability to manage multiple suppliers across several different business sectors and product types.
Detailed working knowledge of inventory management techniques.

In-depth knowledge and understanding of supply chain management and distribution methods.
Good understanding of IT concepts and integrated business applications. Knowledge of Oracle preferable.
Strong knowledge in all areas of import / export, regulatory and logistics management.
Good negotiation and problem resolution skills.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Highly analytical with an ability to create, analyse and optimize detailed supply chain data.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers across many different cultures.
Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of employees.

Interested applicants should have experience of S&OP planning, purchasing, inventory/warehousing.

Ideally you will also have experience of repair, kitting, inventory reduction

Experience Sought:

Five to seven years relevant experience at a senior management level.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain Management or a closely related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience
