We are looking for a Process Engineer for the Carlow site for 6 months. Ideally the candidate should have a min. of 5 years experience working in a biopharmaceutical processing/sterile filling design & start up environment.





Title: Process Engineer



Job Responsibilities:

  • • Assume the role of Technical Owner for a set of small projects that will be driven by New
Product Introductions and/or continuous improvement studies; primary responsibility is to

deliver a technical package that can be successfully qualified

  • • Implement a Process Design based on the scope of Process Requirements provided by
the Technology Transfer and BioProcess Development Groups

  • • Author Process Sections of Concept Design Reports and Process Equipment User
Requirement Specifications

  • • Represent Process Engineering in cross-functional project teams throughout the design,
GMP review, FAT, construction/installation and C&Q phases of the project lifecycle needed

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum qualification B.Sc. or M.Sc./M.Eng Degree in Chemical or Biochemical
Engineering or equivalent discipline

  • Minimum of 7.5 Years post academic process engineering experience in a
biopharmaceutical processing/sterile filling design & start-up environment

and Sterile Filling Operations including Media Prep, Buffer Prep, Adjuvant Manufacture,

Formulation, Vial and Syringe filling

  • In depth understanding of Cleaning and Sterilisation process technologies (incl. filtration,
terminal sterilisation, radiation and chemical sterilisation)
