Our client is looking for a DW architect on a permanent or contract basis based in the city centre,
Duties & Responsibilities
- Define the overall BI strategy including business model, technical roadmap, platform selection, deployment and operation
- Define and direct overall data warehouse architecture including data modelling, ETL, data dictionary, data mart and analytical frontend
- Define and design solutions to satisfy key no functional requirements particular security , data quality, audit, performance and scalability
- Ensures that the data warehouse architecture conforms to the overall enterprise architecture and roadmap.
- Acts as an advisor or mentor to other development team members; ensure BI strategies and architecture are compliant
- Participate in the identification of data integration points at an enterprise level, both legacy and newly developed, including resolution of legacy data integration issues through reengineering
- Define the overall BI strategy including business model, technical roadmap, platform selection, deployment and operation
- Define and direct overall data warehouse architecture including data modelling, ETL, data dictionary, data mart and analytical frontend
Skills and Experience
- Experienced data warehouse architect with broad understanding of all components in a large and complex data warehouse solution
- Knowledge of data warehouse architecture principles, patterns and methodologies and demonstrate expertise in a variety of technology concepts (Kimball preferred)
- Extensive knowledge of data modelling techniques
- Strong Oracle and or SQL Server database background
- Exposure to the educational software environment and familiarity with industry standards and specifications
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
