Position is a Component Engineer to support Supplier Quality during new product development; working in a partnership with another direct team member on a common development project.
The Role:
Partner with Design Engineering and Technical Sourcing to identify, audit, and select capable supplier match.
Use solid engineering skills to understand and evaluate functional map, drawings, measurement methodologies, Critical to Quality Features, and risk assessments.
Transfer technical device knowledge to supplier Develop supplier capability & supplier ownership.
Solicit supplier feedback on drawings, materials, processes -Develop and execute characterization (DOE), measurement (GR&R) and qualification (IQ,OQ,PQ) protocols in conjunction with suppliers.
Determine supplier ability and readiness for implementing Design, Reliability, and Manufacturability improvement practices to align with Medtronic strategic direction.
Qualifications / Skills:
Bsc in related discipline
2-4 yrs Experience
MS Visio experience
Knowledge of Agile, eMatrix, SAP
